34th ANNUAL WELLINGTON HOLIDAY PARADE A HUGE SUCCESS

-

On Sunday, December 10, the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and Wellington Village hosted the 34th Annual Wellington Holiday Parade with this year’s theme: A World of Make Believe. This much-anticipated event brings together participants from all over Palm Beach County. This year was no exception. For all those involved, the Wellington Holiday Parade is an annual gift for 20,000 spectators. Beginning at Wellington Trace and Forest Hill Boulevard, the parade was full of creative and imaginative floats and marching bands. The festivities continued at Holiday Park where, as in years past, the venue was filled with exhibitors offering fun, food, music and more in the Wellington Amphitheater. One thing stood out this year: surprise guests Anna and Elsa from Frozen, who helped greet the kids. Holiday Park was sponsored by Waste Management along with Center for Bone and Joint, Retreat of Palm Beach, International Polo Club, Winter Equestrian Festival and Global Dressage. Palm Beach County First Responders served as the Grand Marshals and this year’s parade featured special guest, Brad Peacock, pitcher for the 2017 World Series Champions, Houston Astros. The Astros went on to win the 2017 World Series, the first in their franchise history. Peacock is from West Palm Beach, Florida. He attended Palm Beach Central High School in Wellington, Florida. From co-sponsors like the Schumacher Family of Dealerships and Wellington Regional Medical Center to the fine men and women of the Palm Beach Sheriff ’s Office and the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, to all of the community partners and supporters, 34th Annual Wellington Holiday Parade continues to be a labor of love and commitment to Palm Beach County. “Schumacher Automotive Group is proud to once again support the Wellington Holiday Parade. We are grateful to the community for supporting our many brands over the years and consider it an honor to give back,” Schumacher Executive Manager Sal DelGreco said. Robbin Lee, CEO of Wellington Regional Medical Center stated, “This is an opportunity for us to connect with the community, businesses, residents and visitors. We especially look forward to interacting with previous patients in a setting outside of the medical facility.” If you didn’t have the chance to join in this year’s fun, we hope to see you next year for the 34th Annual Wellington Holiday Parade!
