For Carissa and Nicholas Coniglio, chairing the 2018 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) ‘WILD’ black-tie gala is about more than creating a fantastic event for an important cause. It’s personal. The couple’s involvement with LLS began seven years ago after a close friend was diagnosed with a blood cancer. That friend was cured with the help of research directly funded by LLS.

Their personal connection — and their compassion for helping others — is why the Coniglios and their committee are pulling out all the stops to make the ‘WILD’ gala the most successful yet. Guests will experience a magical atmosphere with painted animal models strutting through cocktail hour in the courtyard, a tribal dance performance, gourmet dinner, ultra-exclusive silent auction items, and live music by “The Clique,” all to support LLS’s mission to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and families in Palm Beach County.

“Carissa and I saw for ourselves how a life was saved thanks to LLS,” said Nicholas Coniglio. “Since we became part of the LLS family through the survival of a close friend, we have been passionate supporters and feel incredibly honored to chair this year’s gala. With our committee’s enthusiastic support, we know it will be wildly fun and successful as we raise money for the organization that will one day find a cure.”
