■ Texas: Guard Andrew Jones remains sidelined with an undisclose­d illness and will not play tonight against No. 16 TCU in Austin. Jones opted to return to Texas after his freshman season instead of entering the NBA draft. He was averaging a teamhigh 15.3 points before sustaining a wrist injury and missing several games.

Tuesday’s Top 25 games

■ (At) No. 2 West Virginia 57, Baylor 54: Jevon Carter made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 57.5 seconds left as the Mountainee­rs (15-1, 4-0 Big 12) escaped the Bears (11-5, 1-3). WVU extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 15. Lamont West and Daxter Miles Jr. led West Virginia with 12 points apiece. Baylor’s Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. had 11 points and 10 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.

■ (At) No. 3 Virginia 68, Syracuse 61: Kyle Guy scored 22 points, and Devon Hall had 13 points and eight assists to lift UVA (15-1, 4-0 ACC) over the Orange (12-5, 1-3). Frank Howard scored 18, and Paschal Chukwu added nine and 16 rebounds for Syracuse.

■ No. 5 Purdue at Michigan: Late

■ (At) No. 9 Oklahoma 75, No. 8 Texas Tech 65: Trae Young scored 22 of his 27 points in the second half to lead the Sooners (13-2, 3-1 Big 12) past the Red Raiders (14-2, 3-1). Young, a freshman guard who leads the nation in scoring and assists, also had nine assists and four steals. Keenan Evans scored 19 for Tech.

■ (At) No. 12 Kansas 83, Iowa State 78: Malik Newman came off the bench to score 27 points for the Jayhawks (13-3, 3-1 Big

12). Freshman Lindell Wigginton led the Cyclones (9-6, 0-4) with 27.

■ No. 13 Seton Hall at Marquette: Late

■ (At) No. 20 North Carolina 96, Boston College 66: Luke Maye had career highs of 32 points and 18 rebounds to power the Tar Heels (13-4, 2-2 ACC) past the Eagles (11-6, 2-3). Maye became the first North Carolina player with at least 30 points and 15 rebounds at home since Antawn Jamison in 1997-98.

■ (At) No. 21 Kentucky 74, Texas A&M

73: PJ Washington made a steal that led to Kevin Knox’s go-ahead layup with 2:28 left, then added four late points as the Wildcats (13-3, 3-1 SEC) beat the Aggies (11-5, 0-4). Tyler Davis had 21 points for the Aggies.

■ No. 22 Auburn vs. Mississipp­i: Late

■ No. 24 Tennessee at Vanderbilt: Late

■ (At) No. 25 Creighton 85, Butler 74: Marcus Foster had 23 points and eight assists to lead the Bluejays (14-3, 4-1 Big East) past the Bulldogs (12-6, 2-3). Paul Jorgensen led Butler with 18 points.
