(At) Capitals 3, Canucks 1: John Carlson, Lars Eller and Evgeny Kuznetsov scored as Washington won its fifth consecutive game. The Capitals have won 10 consecutive home games. Backup goaltender Philipp Grubauer stopped 37 shots for his third win of the season.
Jets 7, (at) Sabres 4: Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers scored two goals each and Steve Mason made 30 saves for Winnipeg. Jack Eichel had two goals for Buffalo.
Blackhawks 8, (at) Senators 2: Nick Schmaltz and Jonathan Toews each scored two goals, and Patrick Kane had a goal and four assists for Chicago. Craig Anderson allowed four goals on 26 shots before giving way to Mike Condon.
(At) Lightning 5, Hurricanes 4: Tyler Johnson had three goals, and Jake Dotchin scored a tiebreaking goal midway through the third period for Tampa Bay. Dotchin got his first goal in 14 games to make it 4-3 before Johnson completed his hat trick after stealing the puck and scoring from just outside the crease at 14:54.
Panthers 7, (at) Blues 4: Vincent Trocheck had two goals and an assist for Florida, which rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to snap a three-game losing streak. James Reimer stopped 26 shots in his 15th straight start.
(At) Predators 2, Oilers 1: Viktor Arvidsson had a goal and an assist and Pekka Rinne made 25 saves in Nashville’s 11th consecutive win against Edmonton. Connor McDavid scored for the Oilers, who have lost seven of eight.
Flames 3, (at) Wild 2 (OT): Dougie Hamilton scored 2:39 into overtime and Mike Smith made 33 saves for Calgary. Sean Monahan added his 20th goal of the season.
