No. 2 Virginia gets 10th straight victory

Kyle Guy scored 17 points, and No. 2 Virginia beat host Wake Forest 59-49 on Sunday night for its 10th straight win.

De’Andre Hunter added 16 points to help the firstplace Cavaliers (18-1, 7-0 ACC) extend their longest winning streak since 2015-16 and open league play with seven victories for the second time in four years.

Bryant Crawford scored 11 points, and Mitchell Wilbekin and Brandon Childress added 10 apiece for the Demon Deacons (8-11, 1-6), who lost their fifth straight.

(At) No. 23 Michigan 62, (at) Rutgers 47: Moe Wagner scored 16 points, Duncan Robinson added 12 and the Wolverines (17-5, 6-3 Big Ten) topped the Scarlet Knights (12-9, 2-6). Corey Sanders scored 12 points for Rutgers, and Deshawn Freeman added 11 points and 11 rebounds.

No. 25 Miami 86, (at) N.C. State 81: Bruce Brown Jr. had 19 points and nine assists, Anthony Lawrence II and Ebuka Izundu each had 15 points, and the Hurricanes (14-4, 3-3 ACC) held off the Wolfpack (13-7, 3-4). Omer Yurtseven had 28 points for N.C. State.

(At) Louisville 77, Boston College 69: Deng Adel had all 18 points and 10 rebounds after halftime, including a late free throw that helped the Cardinals (15-4, 5-1 ACC) hold off the Eagles (13-7, 3-4) for their fourth consecutiv­e victory. V.J. King and Jordan Nwora each added 15 points for Louisville; Jerome Robinson had 19 points and Ky Bowman added 16 for B.C.

Clemson: Forward Donte Grantham, a 6-foot-8 senior, will miss the rest of the 20th-ranked Tigers’ season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, suffered in Saturday’s win over Notre Dame. He was second on the team with 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

Grantham was driving to the basket during Clemson’s win over Notre Dame on Saturday when his right leg appeared to buckle after getting fouled from behind. An MRI revealed the torn ligament.
