LODI is a great option for denture wearers

The Locator Overdenture Implant (LODI) system is a reliable and cost-effective, narrowdiameter overdenture implant that performs like a standard implant. A growing number of edentulous patients are discovering that dental implant therapy may be the ideal treatment to replace their missing teeth.

The LODI system uses implants that are 2.9 mm in diameter.

Please note: They are NOT the same as “mini implants!”

They are not as large as standard-size implants, yet are reliable and suitable for long-term sustainability. These narrow-diameter implants in the LODI system are a third of the cost of standard-size implants and don’t require the same bone dimensions as conventional implants.

The LODI system is only for use with edentulous patients (existing denture wearers). The LODI overdenture snaps on to between two and six narrow-diameter implants, depending on the amount of support you desire. This will create a secure, comfortable prosthesis that functions like natural teeth. You can check to see if you can modify and use your existing denture, although this may not be possible for everyone.
