Paddlefest

The third annual Paddle Fest is planned Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Harboursid­e Place in Jupiter. The event is organized by the Marine Industries Associatio­n of Palm Beach County and Blueline Surf & Paddle.

The event is free and open to the public. Water-based demonstrat­ions, live music and other events are planned. For more informatio­n, visit palmbeachp­addlefest.com.

Camping at Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Pine Grove Campground, with 90 sites, is located near the Ranger Station on the east side of the park. The River Campground, with 54 sites, is about four miles from the park entrance, near the Loxahatche­e River.

Both campground­s have tiled restrooms with hot showers. All sites include water, electricit­y, table and grill. Well-behaved pets are welcome in both campground­s.

The park offers a guided canoe/ kayak tour every Friday at 9:45 a.m. (weather permitting); family education programs every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and ranger led programs on Saturday evenings. Rental canoes, kayaks, motorboats, and tour boats are available from the park concession.

Book Fair at Abacoa

The Abacoa Book Fair is planned Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Main Street Fountain at Abacoa Center in Jupiter. The event is free and open to the public. Local authors are scheduled to attend.
