RIVIERA BEACH — One day before his 18th birthday, a Riviera Beach teen carjacked two people during what was supposed to be a drug deal, authorities said.

Jailyk Tucker was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Friday on multiple charges in connection to a Jan. 12 carjacking in Mangonia Park. He faces charges that include armed carjacking, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying an unlicensed firearm.

Tucker remained in custody Thursday afternoon after a judge set his bond at $158,000.

According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Office report, Tucker stole a man and a woman’s 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. One of the alleged victims told deputies he knew Tucker as “J” and had planned to buy a small amount of mar- ijuana from him.

A woman picked the man up and drove him to meet Tucker in Riviera Beach. Tucker directed the pair to a nearby store that was closed, then to a side street on the 5900 block of Australian Avenue in Mangonia Park.

At that l ocation, he allegedly pulled out a firearm and told the man and woman to get out of the sedan. They complied and fled on foot as Tucker drove away, the report said.

Investigators were able to identify Tucker through tracking his Facebook page. His alleged victims each identified him through a photo lineup.
