FUN THINGS HAPPENING IN AND AROUND LAKE WORTH
1. 13th annual Lake Worth Festival of Trees, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cultural Plaza, 414 Lake Ave. Learn all you want to about local trees, presented by the Lake Worth City Tree Board. Two speakers include Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, co-author of “Suburban Nation: The Rise of Sprawl and the Decline of the American Dream,” and Victor Dover, who co-authored “Street Design: The Secret to Great Cities and Towns.”
2. Evening on the Avenue, Friday, 6 to 10 p.m. Cultural Plaza, 414 Lake Ave. Get your Jamaican swag on as Mariah and the Reggae Allstars play.
3. Lake Worth Beach Bonfire, Friday, 6 to 9 p.m. Time to hit the beach, listen to some music and just, well, groove for one of the city’s most popular events.
