ThermiVa uses radiofrequency energy to tighten skin

Question: What is ThermiVa and why would I be interested in it?

Answer: Thermi™ is a system tightening tissues by using radiofrequency energy. In previous columns, Dr. Michael Frederick discussed ThermiTight, a minimally invasive procedure that tightens the jaw line, neck and other areas. ThermiSmooth and ThermiVa are two other exciting aspect of this system.

ThermiSmooth is an external treatment used to tighten thin papery skin near the eyes, and improve the lines around the mouth. The treatments are performed every one to two weeks for four to six treatments. The area can be a little pink and slightly swollen after the treatment, but this resolves very quickly.
