GREENACRES — Two West Palm Beach men and a juvenile were arrested Thursday after they burglarized the home of a Palm Beach County sheriff ’s deputy and stole his bulletproof vest and truck, according to an arrest report.

The three were being watched by undercover law-enforcement agents when they broke into the deputy’s suburban Greenacres residence by smashing a rear sliding-glass door, the report said.

Irvin Christian Lopez, 23, and Adrian Lopez, 19, are facing charges of burglary of a structure with damages of more than $1,000, larceny and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Irvin Lopez also is facing a separate charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and Adrian Lopez also is accused of resisting an officer with violence.

The 17-year-old juvenile was on felony probation when he was arrested, according to the report. It’s unknown what charges he faces. His name is blacked out in the report.

An agent with the South Florida Task Force, affiliated with the sheriff’s office, watched as Adrian Lopez approached the deputy’s home and knocked on the door, the arrest report said. When no one answered, Adrian Lopez and the juvenile ran to the back of the house and later emerged with bags filled with items, which they put into the trunk of the 2015 Nissan Sentra they were using.

Adrian Lopez then allegedly returned to the home, got into the deputy’s Ford F-150 pickup and drove away. A short time later, Irvin Lopez and the juvenile were taken into custody at gunpoint. Adrian Lopez tried to run away but also was arrested, the report said.
