The Palm Beach Post

Let’s Eat!

- — Krystian

I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it. Forgive the Pointer Sisters reference, but their sentiment rings true: Grandview Public Market has opened. The multivendor food hall debuted to the public yesterday. The repurposed West Palm Beach warehouse provides a unique dining and shopping experience from a wide range of local and national purveyors, completed by a unique event space and weekly activities for all ages.

It’s the brainchild of Chris Vila, a founder of North Bar Holdings, the owner/operator of GPM. His wife Kristen oversaw the market’s interior design. Chris sensed an opportunity and seized it: “West Palm Beach is experiencing growth as a community through development, the arts, and an influx of young professionals. For GPM we curated the vendors, who are as excited as we are to be involved and doing business in a vibrant, flourishing community.”

Notables was lucky enough to graze through the food offerings at a recent Friends & Family event (I have known Chris for many years) and can attest to the yumminess of every offering. There’s also a Barre and cycling studio, as well as a home goods store on site.

With ample parking and shuttle service from nearby downtown West Palm Beach available, the market at 1401 Clare Ave., and will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Visit grandviewpublic.com for more information.

Equally exciting will be Palm Beach’s most anticipated event for young notables, as the Four Arts Contemporaries raise important funds for the programs of The Society of the Four Arts. “A Night in Tokyo,” the 2018 Contemporaries

Gala, takes place on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. The evening promises live performances, exciting culinary stations, and music from D J Christopher Sealey.

Tickets to the event are $500 and can be purchased at fourarts.org/ product/night-in-tokyo.
