Three things to do this weekend in Boynton Beach:

1. Coffee With a Cop

The Boynton Beach Police Department is hosting this free event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at McDonald’s, 1810 S. Federal Highway. Residents can meet with police officers, ask questions and voice concerns.

2. Boating class

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary Flotilla 54 is hosting a boating class from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park boat ramp building, 2010 N. Federal Highway. Topics include Introducti­on to Boating Law; Boating Safety Equipment; Safe Boating; Navigation; Boating Problems; Trailering, Storing and Protecting Your Boat; River Boating; and Hunting and Fishing boatrelate­d issues. The class is $20 per person, including one course book, and $50 for a family of three or more, including two books. There is no charge for children under 14. 3. Celebrate Dr. Seuss

The Barnes & Noble in Boynton is hosting a Children’s Storytime event at 11 a.m. Saturday. The store is at 333 N. Congress Ave. The book to be read is “The Cat in the Hat,” by Dr. Seuss, in celebratio­n of his March 2 birthday. Activities will follow.
