■ Ancient Grains Rise Again, 6 p.m., Thursday. Learn to use great grains to add flavor, texture and even vitamins and minerals to meals. Menu: Roasted butternut squash stuffed with winter greens, apples, and quinoa; barley risotto with red wine and sausage; braised beef shank with spelt and grilled baguette; s’mores with ancient grain graham crackers and peanut butter. $50.
■ Hand Pies, 6 p.m., Monday. Many different cultures have names for hand held pies. Whether it’s sweet or savory, there’s a pie for everyone. Menu: Apple and brie; cherry tomato and burata; chicken empanadas, piroshki (Russian beef pies); sopapilla cheesecake pies. $50.
■ Shrimply Irresistible, 6 p.m., Tuesday. Do you find it odd that shrimp are large, jumbo or colossal? What can these little guys do to change their image? These dishes are sure to deliver a big flavor. Menu: Sundried tomato stuffed bacon-wrapped shrimp; asparagus and shrimp stir fry; coconut fried shrimp with spicy grilled pineapple yogurt sauce; shrimp etouffee. $50.
