BOYNTON BEACH — A third person has been arrested in the April 2015 double homicide in suburban Boynton Beach in which a 14-year-old boy was the gunman, the Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Office said Friday evening.

Ryan Richards, 23, was indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm on Thursday in the fatal shootings of cousins Ricky Miner, 23, and Andrew Laudano, 21, according to the sheriff ’s office.

Anthony Clark, who was 14 at the time, was charged as an adult in the murders and convicted in November. He was sentenced to 60 years in prison. Reed Albertson, who had just turned 17 at the time of the fatal shootings, was arrested months later.

When Clark was convicted, Assistant State Attorney Andrew Slater said the teen and an unnamed accomplice came up with the plan to rob and kill the pair. Clark told investigators that he and his accomplice used to buy marijuana from Laudano and decided to rob him because they knew he carried large amounts of money with him. Albertson and the unnamed accomplice were lookouts while Clark shot the two men as they sat in a Dodge Charger, according to court records.

On April 7, 2015, deputies were called to the Verona Lakes community, a development west of Lyons Road between Hypoluxo Road and Boynton Beach Boulevard. Initially, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue took the call as a crash, but when crews arrived, they found Miner and Laudano shot in the head inside the vehicle.

On April 15, 2015, Clark was arrested at Palm Beach International Airport, where he attempted to get on a flight. He was initially arrested as a juvenile and later charged as an adult.

In the days after the shooting, investigators learned Clark bragged about the killings to friends and about stealing $5,000.

Clark went to the malls in Boynton Beach and Wellington with two friends and bought an Xbox video game console, walked around with a large roll of cash and gave a friend money to buy shoes. According to court records, Clark said he bought the gun at school days before the fatal shootings.

In November 2015, Reed Albertson was indicted on first-degree murder charges, according to court records. Though he was originally set for a plea deal in October 2017, court records indicate the case is still open.
