Opera opens auditions for 2018-19 season

The Palm Beach Opera will hold Chorus auditions for the upcoming 2018-2019 season. These will take place on Friday, April 6, and Saturday, April 7.

Auditions are open for this paid position to male and female singers ages 18 and older who have training and experience with operatic literature and performance, as well as availability for evening and weekend work from November through March. Auditions are by appointment only, and applicants must complete and submit the Audition Request form by March 30. The Audition Request form can be found on the Palm Beach Opera website at pbopera. org/chorusauditions.

For the audition, all singers must prepare two classical songs or arias, with at least one in a foreign language, preferably Italian, French or German. A pianist will be provided. For information, call James Barbato, assistant director of Artistic Operations, at 561835-7552.
