Go for the green: this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day fun

Grab your favorite green party favors, put on that fabulous green outfit and head to these fun parties, parades and events for St. Patrick’s Day! St. Patrick’s Day or the Feast of St. Patrick is a day to celebrate Irish culture on or around March 17. Here’s a list of ways to enjoy this holiday weekend:

Lake Worth St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. today in downtown Lake Worth. This year, the parade benefits Wheels for Kids and a customized wheelchair will be donated to a child in need at the event. Boynton Beach Blarney Bash

Celebrate the Irish at Boynton Beach’s annual Blarney Bash along Ocean Avenue. Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. Live performanc­es from Rogue Theory, Steeltown Religion, Celtic Mayhem and the Aranmore Academy of Irish Dance. There will be kids activities, such as face painting, balloon artists, a bounce house, rock climbing and a visit from a leprechaun. The free event is at the Ocean Avenue Amphitheat­er. Paddy Mac’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Roxy’s Pub St. Patrick’s Day Block Party

Roxy’s will host its annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party, starting with “Kegs & Eggs” at 7 a.m. Saturday. The block party continues until 9 p.m. with live music. There will be a D J lineup, leprechaun­s, bagpipers and a rooftop party. Roxy’s Pub: 309 Clematis St., West Palm Beach; 561296-7699

O’Shea’s Pub St. Patrick’s Day Festivitie­s

Bagpipers, Irish dancers and the Gaelic Brew from Ireland are part of O’Shea’s celebratio­n. Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 a.m. Sunday. Abacoa’s St. Patrick’s Day Block Party

Brogues Downunder St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day today through Sunday at Brogues Downunder in downtown Lake Worth. The three-day event will run each day during business hours. They’ll have bounce houses for kids on K Street and a popcorn machine. Brogues Downunder: 621 Lake Ave., Lake Worth; 561585-1885

Dubliner Irish Pub’s St. Patrick’s Day Block Party

This huge party will feature live entertainm­ent, face painting, magicians, leprechaun­s and more from 11 a.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday. There will be a traditiona­l Irish buffet with corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash and shepherd’s pie. Live entertainm­ent includes Irish Cloggers and Bagpipers, Palm Beach Pipes and Drums Marching Troop, Adam David Duo, Walt Rooney Irish Folk, Spider Cherry and U2 tribute band Someday Radio. The Office’s St. Patrick’s Day celebratio­n

Saturday’s all-day event features staple drinks and food. You can choose Guinness Gravy Poutine, Reuben Sliders or a Shepherd’s Pie Burger with a grilled angus patty, warm shepherd’s pie gravy and draped in Havarti dill cheese. Drinks are $5 for green domestics and $7 for festive drinks, such as PickleBack, Irish Knockout, Dublin Sparkle and more.
