Hawking interment at Westminster Abbey

-

Stephen Hawking, the English cosmologist who died last week, will rest for eternity, or its practical equivalent, alongside one of his heroes: Sir Isaac Newton, the Englishman who founded modern physics. Westminster Abbey in London announced Wednesday that Hawking’s ashes will be interred in the Abbey in a ceremony “of thanksgiving” later this year. Sir Isaac Newton was buried in the Abbey in 1727.
