Have a shell of a good time at TurtleFest 2018

Loggerhead Marinelife Center will host its 15th Annual TurtleFest on Saturday.

Expected to attract over 10,000 guests this year, the event focuses on promoting conservati­on through up-close interactio­ns with threatened and endangered sea turtles, as well as music, art, shopping, educationa­l presentati­ons, games and other activities.

The event will feature yoga classes, science experiment demonstrat­ions, artwork made from ocean pollution and interactiv­e activities and tips on how to live a more sustainabl­e life.

Beverages will be available from Lagunitas Beer and Naked Turtle Rum and souvenir aluminum reuseable cups will available for purchase and refills.

Festival food options will range from pizza and tacos to veggie burgers and falafel.

Music will be provided by several bands including Surfer Blood, the Bryce Allen Band, The Helmsmen and Del Pelson.

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday
