Trump in town tonight to start Easter weekend
PALM BEACH — President Donald Trump is expected to arrive in Palm Beach County this evening for an Easter weekend visit that will be his 16th visit to the area as president.
He is scheduled to arrive at Palm Beach International Airport after 5:15 p.m. today and to depart before 5 p.m. on Easter Sunday, according to an alert issued by the Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday.
First lady Melania Trump and son, Barron, who arrived with the president last Friday, remained at Mar-a-Lago this week while Trump returned to Washington.
Other Trump family members also appear to be in town this week. Donald Trump Jr. was spotted at a CrossFit gym in West Palm Beach last Sunday. His wife, Vanessa, who filed for divorce this month, also tweeted Sunday that she was “enjoying the beach with my two youngest Chloe and Spencer!”
The Trump family traditionally spends Easter at Mar-a-Lago and attends services at Bethesda-by-
the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach.
The process of establishing checkpoints and road closures around Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach will begin no later than 6 a.m. today. Expect traffic delays and road closures in this area through Sunday.
During the closure period, all forms of travel, including pedestrian travel, are prohibited on South Ocean Boulevard from the intersection of South County Road to Southern Boulevard.
The travel restrictions will also extend eastward to the ocean. Marine security zones will be in effect during this period. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Residents living south of the South Ocean and South County intersection will be granted access with proper credentials.
