THREE CHARGED IN ACREAGE GROW-HOUSE OPERATION
THE ACREAGE — Three people were arrested Tuesday in connection with an alleged marijuana grow-house operation in The Acreage, the Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Office said.
Officers took Yudit Garcia-Bonilla, 47, her daughter Isneidy Martin-Garcia, 26, and Diurius Aday, 30, into custody after searching a home on the 5200 block of Mango Boulevard, near 52nd Street North.
All three defendants appeared with a private attorney Wednesday at a hearing at the Palm Beach County Jail.
Each is facing charges of manufacturing and trafficking in marijuana, being in possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and being in possession of a home where drugs are manufactured and at least one child is present.
Judge Dina Keever-Agrama ordered that Aday be held on an $81,000 bond. Garcia-Bonilla and Martin-Garcia both were held on $41,000 bonds.
According to an arrest report, the search uncovered evidence of drug manufacturing, including a shed that housed a fully functioning marijuana laboratory. The shed reportedly had 12 large marijuana plants in full-bud development.
An improvised, plywood-covered room on the porch had another 10 plants. Investigators found, among other items, used plastic bottles of liquid fertilizer and high-pressure sodium light bulbs.
In total, investigators found about 1,150 grams of marijuana — about 2.5 pounds — in the home, the report said.
Arrest reports list Aday, Garcia-Bonilla and Martin-Garcia as all residing at the home and that a child lived there with them.
