Tractor-trailer fire closes northbound turnpike

A tractor-trailer fire Saturday afternoon closed northbound lanes for about 4½ hours on Florida’s Turnpike north of Indiantown Road, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews.

The fire was reported shortly after 1 p.m.

All lanes were reopened at 5:30 p.m., and no injuries were reported, according to Lt. Alvaro Feola, spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol.
