2. Beth El’s Got Talent. Temple Beth El West Palm Beach will hold a Beth El’s Got Talent, at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 29.

There are still a few openings for anyone in the community who would like to participate, said Alan Jacobson, producer of the event. “We’re looking to pattern it after the popular TV show America’s Got Talent, with acts like singing and dancing,” Jacobson said.

The free program, open to the public, will be held in the Yeckes Chapel on the Temple Beth El campus, 2815 N. Flagler Drive. To participate, email Jacobson at alan@donohuerealestate.com. For reservations or information, call the temple office at 561-833-0339 or visit www.bethelwpb.com.

3. Belvedere Elementary helping out. Comcast is teaming up with Belvedere Elementary School Saturday to give the students a more vibrant place to learn and grow as part of the 17th annual Comcast Cares Day. Volunteers will enrich the campus by creating outdoor classrooms, planting a sensory garden for students with autism, enhancing green spaces and garden areas, painting murals, revamping the play courts of the outdoor PE area and making over the school’s teacher lounge.

Members of the general public are invited to join. To sign up, visit ComcastintheCommunity.com, search for projects in West Palm Beach, and select OFFICIAL Project for Palm Beach County — Belvedere Elementary School.
