BOYNTON BEACH — Construction of the 86-acre Renaissance Commons’ final residential community is complete and a grand-opening event is Friday.
The community, called Santorini, has 226 one- and two-bedroom units in two, six-story buildings. It’s on Renaissance Commons Boule- vard behind Sage Dental and Jersey Mike’s Subs. Owner Compson Associates modeled Santorini after its sister community, Compson Place Apartments. Construction on Santorini started in 2015.
Rents range from $1,430 to $1,750 per month. The apartments are decorated with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood floors and marble bathroom vanities. Santorini comes with the typical apartment-living amenities, including a resortstyle swimming pool, a small movie theater, a 24-hour fitness center, recreational trails, a social room and a business center, according to a news release.
Santorini is the seventh and final residential project in Renaissance Commons, the development on Congress Avenue between Boynton Beach and Gateway bou- levards.
As of Monday, two units in Santorini were occupied, said Jaclyn Drone, a leasing agent.
While Compson is the original owner of the Renaissance Commons land, the company now owns only residential communities Compson Place Apartments, Santorini and units within Viscaya Lakes, said Megan Lundrigan, executive director for Renaissance Management. Compson also owns the retail along Congress Avenue and a nearby residential detox center.
