Sheriff ’s deputies say Marcus Hull, 29, is the person who shot and killed a 24-year-old mother of two at a Greenacres nightclub.

GREENACRES — Marcus McKinzie Hull once feared being arrested so much that he “begged” a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy to give him a citation instead for marijuana possession.

Hull, 29, is in trouble with the law again, but this time, on a much more serious charge.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Hull is the person who shot and killed Kassandra Morales, who was a 24-year-old mother, and injured three other people early Sunday morning at a Greenacres-area nightclub.

Hull’s last known address is in Delray Beach, but law enforcement has not found him and is asking the public for help. In a statement released Friday, PBSO warned that Hull “is known to be armed and dangerous.”

According to a law-enforcement source, Hull argued Sunday with Morales, who was at the La Isla Del Encanto nightclub on Military Trail south of Forest Hill Boulevard.

Hull left and returned later, shooting Morales and three other men, including two security guards, outside the club, according to the source. The three men sustained non-life threatening injuries and were released from a hospital.

There doesn’t appear to be anything in Hull’s background that would indicate he was capable of such violence.

Court records show that Hull has been arrested once. That arrest took place in Mangonia Park on June 26, 2015, after police found 31 grams of marijuana in a vehicle in which he was a passenger.

According to a PBSO arrest report, Hull was “very remorseful” and “begged to be issued a citation in lieu of being arrested due to a new promotion at work.”

Hull was arrested and charged with felony possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. That charge was later downgraded by the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office to misdemeanor possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and Hull was entered into a pretrial diversion program. The misdemeanor was dismissed after Hull completed the program.

A work resume posted online by Hull shows that he held a series of jobs beginning in December 2008, including teaching assistant at a daycare in Delray Beach and sales associate for a Boynton Beach clothing store.

In the resume, Hull describes himself as a “fast learner (and) hard worker” who “loves working with others” and is “well regarded” for his people skills.

A person who answered the phone Thursday afternoon at the home of Hull’s last known address hung up when a Palm Beach Post reporter identified himself.

Morales was the mother of 3- and 4-year-old boys and served as a “baseball mom” at Phipps Park in West Palm Beach.

Morales was born in Miami and attended Lake Worth High School. She was a super- visor for a cleaning company, according to family members.

Luis Sanchez, Morales’ fiance and the father of her two children, was with Morales at the time of the shooting but was not injured.

A GoFundMe account set up by family members in Morales’ name had raised $12,500 as of Friday afternoon.

Anyone with information on Hull is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS (8477).
