STUART — Martin County sheriff ’s investigators are speaking to a potential second victim of an Army recruiter facing federal child pornography charges after he allegedly solicited ille- gal content from a 17-yearold Palm Beach County high school student.

Authorities allege Staff Sgt. Danilo Fernandez II touched a teen inappropriately during a ride back to Palm Beach Gardens from an Army recruiting office in Stuart.

At Fernandez’s urging, the teen also sent him multiple videos of the teen engaged in a sex act, according to a federal complaint.

The complaint said Fernandez was based at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, but did not specify where his Palm Beach County accuser attended school.

A spokeswoman for the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that investigators from that agency were speaking to a potential second victim from a Martin County school.

She did not specify which school the student attends, or disclose any other information about the investigation.

In addition to working in Palm Beach County, Fernandez also was a recruiter at high schools in Martin, the sheriff ’s office said.

Investigators are trying to determine if there are any other victims. They asked anyone who has had inappropriate contact with Fernandez to contact the nearest law-enforcement agency.
