PGA golf champion Bradley to help open bowling center
New Bowlero Jupiter to replace longtime staple Jupiter Lanes.
PGA Tour winner Keegan Bradley will be on hand for the opening of a trendy bowling alley in Jupiter on May 19.
Bowlero Jupiter will replace Jupiter Lanes, which has been a staple in the community for 20 years.
The Bowlero Corp., described in a release as the largest operator of bowling centers in the country, has two other locations in Florida and nearly 50 in the United States.
The vision behind Bowlero Jupiter was to take an antiquated bowling alley and turn it into a “retro-rustic” entertainment center, which will have 60 blacklight bowling lanes, lounge-space, outside tiki bar, beer pong, corn hole, and arcade center with 36 different games.
“We chose this location in Jupi- ter because we saw its potential,” said Kraig Needler, the district manager of Bowlero, “Jupiter is a family-oriented town and we saw a great opportunity to revamp its bowling alley.”
This family-oriented mind-set is what drives the hours and restaurant-inspired menu, Needler said. It will open at 11 a.m. during the summer and 3 p.m. during the school year.
The “Monster Burger,” the XXL Party Pretzel and the Supreme
French Fry Sampler are just some of the options on the menu. The bar menu will feature specialty drinks like margaritas and Mai Tais.
Bradley will be the guest host of the opening event. He will be signing auto- graphs.
“It’ s great that we are going to have Keegan, because he is a Jupiter resident and it’s good to have the community involved,” Needler said.
The Jupiter Lanes sign still adorns the outside of the building, but the sign should be changed within the week, just in time for the grand opening, according to Needler.
While Jupiter Lanes has been around since June 1997, it wasn’t the original bowling alley at 350 Maplewood Drive. Don Carter’s All Star Lanes-Jupiter was built in 1990 and sold seven years later.
