WEST PALM BEACH — In the month since a Sunday morning bicycle ride turned in to one of the most frightening moments of her life, a 60-year-old West Palm Beach woman is still struggling to return to her daily routines.

The woman, who asked that she only be identified as Suzanne, said Wednesday she was still recovering at home after an unidentified man stabbed her in the chest during an April 8 attack on the waterfront underpass to the Royal Park Bridge.

No arrests have been made. Suzanne hopes her attacker will be found before he has a chance to hurt someone else.

“I just hope for everybody else’s sake that they catch him,” she said.Suzanne said she has received updates from police regarding their progress. West Palm Beach police spokesman Sgt. David Lefont said Wednesday he was not able to discuss details regarding the investigation.

Shortly after the attack, police released surveillance images and videos of the man they believe was responsible. They described him as being in his 20s or 30s and about 5 feet 10 witha slim build.

Suzanne said she hopes to return to her job as a pharmacy technician by the end of the month.

“It’s a slow process, just healing from the surgery,” she said. Her friends have created a GoFundMe account online to help Suzanne cover her medical expenses. To contribute, go to www. GoFundMe.com/getwellsuzanne.
