Get Power For Living

God is The Holy Being in our universe, eternal, mysterious, powerful, yet personal, available to us. There’s only one eternal God, known in three exciting persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit - the Trinity. They work individually yet simultaneously. Believers get Trinity power for living! Scripture encourages us, May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Scripture describes His power. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. Let’s break it down: Fear: This unique Greek word means timidity, fearfulness, even cowardice in the face of people, difficulties, pressures. Father God says fear not, trust me, I’ll take care of you. Power: This word signifies the ever-present Spirit’s dynamite strength! We power up to overcome our selfdestructive attitudes, actions and inadequacies, we’re victors not victims. Love: This famous Greek word, agape, demonstrates Jesus, God incarnate, coming to forgive sin, overcome cynicism, defeat hate. Who loves you? How much? Why? Be blessed, read John 3:16,17. Sound mind: Means sanity in the daily grind, stability in a see-saw world, staying power in Fickle Town, and self-discipline to win our tricky mind battles. One writer calls this the wonderful Spirit-filled life. Scripture says, Be filled with the Spirit. God cannot fill what’s already full. Before Spirit-filling comes self-emptying. There is no substitute for God the Father, Son, Holy Spirit! Are you getting His power?
