Make sure to thank a veteran on Memorial Day for maintainin­g that incredible gift for you!

There will be multiple events throughout the county that will give you the opportunit­y.

At the Boca Raton Cemetery, there will be a Memorial Day Commemorat­ive Ceremony featuring veteran groups, city officials, music by the Fort Lauderdale Highlander­s, drills by the Boca Raton High School and the Boca Raton Police and Fire Honor Guards. In Lantana, the 13th annual Day to Remember Memorial Day Service will be held at Palm Beach Memorial Park. The event will be emceed by Jim Sackett and feature former naval officer Lt. Kate Arrizza as the keynote speaker. There will be POW and MIA tribute wreath presentati­ons. The event will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 N. A Memorial Day Service will be held in Royal Palm Beach at Veterans Park and will feature a flag-raising, Pledge of Allegiance, singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and more. In Wellington, the village will hold its annual parade and ceremony. Active military and veterans can register at the Wellington tent to be recognized during the ceremony. The parade starts at 8:15 a.m. at Village Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Blvd., and ends at Veterans Memorial at the intersecti­on of Forest Hill and South Shore boulevards. A Wreath Ceremony will be held at Veterans Plaza Amphitheat­er in Palm Beach Gardens to honor the men and women who gave their lives to protect our nation’s freedom. The event will feature a presentati­on by the Palm Beach Gardens Police and Fire/Rescue Honor Guard. Music will be provided by Young Singers of the Palm Beaches.
