JUNO BEACH — World Sea Turtle Day is Saturday and it also happens to be the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s seventh annual Run 4 the Sea event.

This 4-mile run along A1A begins at 7 a.m., just behind the the Loggerhead Center. A 1-mile Kids Fun Run starts at 8:15 a.m. After the races, families can enjoy breakfast, vendors, kids’ activities, a DJ and awards.

Those who aren’t morning people or don’t live locally can participate by running the 4-miles virtually. Virtual runners don’t need to submit their times, but can share a photo on Loggerhead Center’s Facebook event page.

Runners can register to run the day of the event or in advance online at www.marinelife.org/ programs-events/run. It’s $45 for the 4-mile race, $10 for the Kids Fun Run and $35 for the virtual run. All participants will get a T-shirt and a medal.

Race proceeds will go to the Loggerhead Center to help with its mission to promote conservation of ocean ecosystems with a special focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. This event is dependent on the weather and might be canceled if threatening conditions are present.
