STORY TIME WITH DAD

Bring dad to story time at the Barnes & Noble in Legacy Place for a special Father’s Day story time featuring “With My Daddy: A Book of Love and Family” by Jo Witek.

The children’s story time is 11 a.m. Saturday at the bookstore, 11380 Legacy Ave. Activities will follow the book reading.

GROWING UP WILD SWAMP TROMP

Children 7 and younger can traipse through the swamp of Sweetbay Natural Area, led by Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management biologists. They will use a throw-trap to see what creatures live under the water in the outdoor classroom and then do an outdoor craft project. The nature walk is 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday.

Closed-toe shoes, long pants and bug spray are suggested. Sweetbay Natural Area is just inside the entrance to North County Airport. The site doesn’t have any restroom facilities.

DOG DAY

Garden of Life has a special spin on the annual “Take Your Dog to Work Day.” You can meet some of Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control’s adoptable dogs at a free event 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22. Garden of Life is at 4200 Northcorp Parkway, suite 200.
