1. Downtown activities. Plenty to do (Have a Summer in Paradise series at the Waterfront, Fourth on Flagler in 2 1/2 weeks), but watch out for road construction projects. Several roads will be closed for construction this coming week in West Palm Beach:

■ Clematis Streetscape Project (through October): 300 block of Clematis St. between S. Olive Ave. and S. Dixie Hwy. is closed to road traffic during construction. Pedestrian traffic will remain unaffected and businesses will remain open.

■ Clematis 500 block (Closed through June 18): 500 block of Clematis St. between S. Quadrille Blvd. and Rosemary Ave. is closed for road repairs. Pedestrian traffic will remain unaffected, and businesses will remain open.

■ Georgia Ave. ( June): Partial closures between Dobbins St. and Nottingham Blvd. for stormwater improvements. One lane northbound is open to traffic. Southbound traffic is detoured to Nottingham Blvd., Lake Ave. or Bradley St.

■ Briggs and Dobbins Streets ( June): Closed to local traffic between Garden Ave. and Georgia Ave. for storm water improvements. Eastbound traffic on Briggs St. may turn right only at Georgia Ave. On-street parking is prohibited in the work zone.

2. SuperCar Week. CityPlace invites visitors to celebrate Father’s Day with a showcase of supercars, produced by SuperCar Week. Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Race Cars, Exotics, Vintage Cars, Electrics will be on display down Rosemary Avenue, June 17, from noon to 4 p.m.

3. Summer cycling. Jack the Bike Man Inc.’s free summer program starts Monday, providing at-risk low-income or high-needs youth from 12 to 15 the opportunity to gain life skills and self-confidence through a hands-on bike education program.

The Gotta Get a Bike program incorporates informal mentoring, physical education and community service, centered around bicycle repair instruction. The program runs Monday through Thursday for 10 sessions. Each session lasts two hours. To register, call Program Director Alex Hernandez at 561-832-0071 or email to alex@jackthebikeman.org.
