WELLINGTON, ROYAL PALM JULY 4TH EVENTS

Both Wellington and Royal Palm Beach are planning Fourth of July spectacula­rs that include music, food and fireworks.

Here are details on each village’s events.

Wellington

Patriotic Pool Party: Noon to 5 p.m. at the Wellington Aquatics Complex, 12072 Forest Hill Blvd. Games and activities are planned. Regular admission applies. Call 561-791-4770.

4th of July Celebratio­n: 6 to 9 p.m. with the Zambelli Fireworks Show at 9:15 p.m. at Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road.

A free shuttle will be provided between the Mall at Wellington Green and Village Park from 5:30 to 10 p.m. with no shuttles during the fireworks show. Shuttles will pick up and drop off passengers at the Palm Tran bus stop near Nordstrom at the mall.

The entertainm­ent schedule includes:

■ Music from Gypsy Lane Band, 6 to 9 p.m.

■ Face painting inside the Village Park gym, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

■ Bounce houses until 9 p.m.

■ Free bingo inside the gym, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

■ “Crazy Games” and lawn games, 6 to 9 p.m.

■ Petting zoo and pony rides, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

■ Sack races, egg tosses, Hula Hoop contests and watermelon eating contests, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Food trucks expected to attend include: Austin’s Franks, Bea’s Heavenly Wings, Captain Lobster, CheeseZill­a, Churrasco Grill, Dough Dough’s Donuts, DR Smokehouse, Feel Good Foods, Four Corners Café, Fry Daddy, Kona Ice, Las Mexicanas, Natuurlik, Olive Onion, Philly Grill On Wheels, PS561, Que Rico, Road Side Eats Sinful Sandwich Company, Sweet Cravings NY, The Cuban Press, The Waffle Wagon, Tornado Food, Tropical D-Lite and World Famous Eggroll Truck.

Royal Palm Beach

Mayor’s Firecracke­r Golf Tournament: Begins at 8:30 a.m. at Madison Green Golf & Country Club, 2001 Crestwood Blvd. The tournament features a scramble format, and contests include longest drive and closestto-the-pin. A barbecue lunch will be provided.

The cost is $75 per player or $300 for a foursome. Registrati­on forms are available at royalpalmb­each.com or at Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd., the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center, 100 Sweet Bay Lane, or the Madison Green clubhouse. 28th annual Ed Singlton Memorial Fourth of July Family Fishing Tournament: On-site registrati­on is 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the main pavilion at Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd. The tournament will be at the Commons Park lake. Participan­ts will be split into age groups: 6 and younger, 7 to 9, 10 to 12 and 13 to 15. There will be parent-child teams for children younger than 12. Star Spangled Spectacula­r: Begins at 4 p.m. with the Zambelli Fireworks Show at 9 p.m. at Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd. A Kids Fun Zone will include carnival-style rides, slides and games and requires purchase of a $5 wristband per child.
