JUPITER — For the first time in three years, Fourth of July fireworks will light up the sky Wednesday night at Harbourside Place.

The $150 million waterfront entertainment complex on the northwest corner of Indiantown Road and U.S. 1 will host a daylong event that begins at noon with a performance by singer-songwriter Shay Marie and closes at 9 p.m. with a fireworks show.

In between, there will be kids activities, vendors, classic cars and performances by Nikki Lickstein and Taylor Norris, plus a Jersey Boys Tribute at 7:30 p.m.

Harbourside has not held fireworks on July Fourth since 2015.

That show, launched from a barge on the Intracoastal Waterway about 300 feet from homes in nearby Waters Edge Estates, drew about 4,000 people, but brought complaints from nearby residents.

Burns on outdoor furniture and canvas tops on boats were among the complaints. The fireworks company paid out about $2,500 in damages to a Waters Edge Estates resident.

Harbourside Place most recently held a fireworks show on New Year’s Eve 2017, despite a town planning and zoning commission staff recommendation against it.

Wednesday’s fireworks show at Harbourside Place is one of many scheduled for northern and central Palm Beach County. Here are a few:

Mega Bash at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter — July 3 and 4, about 9 p.m. (fireworks after the Palm Beach Cardinals baseball games).

North Palm Beach residents will receive a special ticket discount for the Mega Bash games after the village cancelled its traditional fireworks display.

Residents who bring a valid driver’s license or utility bill with proof of residency in North Palm Beach will receive a special buyone, get-one on regularly priced tickets. Regular prices are $10 for adults and $8 for children.

Fourth of July celebration on the waterfront in Riviera Beach — July 4, 2 to 10 p.m. at the Riviera Beach Marina. Food trucks, entertainment, D J and local acts, kids fun zone and fireworks show. Free parking and parking shuttles available.

4th on Flagler in West Palm Beach — July 4, 5 to 10 p.m. at the West Palm Beach Waterfront. Free Independence Day party with live performances, human foosball, life-sized Jenga and an air-conditioned arcade. 18-minute fireworks display over the Intracoastal.
