Way for independent to vote in primary

Independents can vote in primaries. As a registered independent, there has been a time when I wanted a person running in the primary to be in the general election. I changed my affiliation from independent to the party I wanted to vote with. After voting, I re-registered as an independent for the general election.

It takes a bit of doing, but if you feel strongly about someone you want to see in the election it can be done.
