PALM SPRINGS — A restaurant in Village of Palm Springs was temporarily closed after inspectors found several high-priority violations.

A July 5 inspection of Tacos al Carbon, at 4420 Lake Worth Road, found about two dozen live flies on food prep surfaces and on the lids of prepped food.

Food also was found to be stored improperly, and some food was deemed potentially hazardous because of improper temperature. The inspection report notes that corrective action was taken immediately to address the issues with the food. A follow-up inspection on July 6 found the restaurant met inspection standards.

Management could not be reached for comment.
