Run — or walk — a 5K: Royal Palm Beach will have its 5K at the Commons starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd. All ages and skill levels are welcome, along with baby strollers and dogs on leashes. Amphitheater entertainment: Wellington’s weekend lineup for its amphitheater, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd., includes two free concerts, food trucks and a free movie. Bring your own seating for each event. For more information, go to www.wellingtonfl.gov/ events.
■ Food trucks and free concert from local singer-songwriter Bobby G. on Thursday, with food trucks from 5 to 9:30 p.m. and concert beginning at 6:30 p.m.
■ Free movie: “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” (PG-13) begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
■ Free concert: Performance from Beach Boys tribute group, The Beach Buoys, begins at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Wine pairing moves to Oli’s: The popular four-course wine pairing dinners previously held at The Grille are moving to Oli’s Fashion Cuisine, 10610 Forest Hill Blvd. No. 20, Wellington. The first dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. July 26. Cost is $55 and includes four pairings presented by Torres Winery. Dishes on the menu include crab-stuffed piquillo peppers, gambas al ajillo over croquetas de bacalao and a traditional crema catalana. Each of the four courses is served with a Torres wine. Donate school supplies: This is your last week to donate supplies to Wellington’s back-to-school drive.
Wellington’s Community Services Department will collect the essentials from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday at Village Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Blvd.; Wellington Community Center, 12150 Forest Hill Blvd.; Community Services Office, 1092 Wellington Trace; The Lake Wellington Professional Centre, 12133 Ken Adams Way; and Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road.
Items needed include backpacks, crayons, folders, glue, notebooks, paper, pencils and rulers. Collected supplies will be distributed at Wellington’s Back-to-School Community Block Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28 at the Wellington Community Center. For more information, call 561-791-4764.
