The Palm Beach County
Food Bank has appointed
Shelly Himmelrich and Shandra Stringer to its board of directors for 2018-19.
Himmelrich has served as chairman and honorary chairman of the agency’s Empty Bowls Delray Beach event. She is a director of The Pechter Family Foundation and with her husband, Billy, owns the Old School Bakery in Delray Beach, which provides baked goods to many of the top eating establishments in Palm Beach County.
Stringer is an adjunct professor of baccalaureate studies at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth as well as president and CEO of Grassroots Consulting Inc., of West Palm Beach, assisting public and private sector organizations with strategic planning as well as technical assistance. She holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in organizational management from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She resides in Riviera Beach.
HEALTH
The Palm Beach and Martin County Chapter of the American Red Cross has named Theodore Peroulakis as the new chair of its board of directors.
Peroulakis is a wealth management advisor with Merrill Lynch and has more than 17 years of experience in the financial industry. He is a member of the Girard, Kovarik & Associates team and is a certified financial planner. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Florida State University and a master’s degree from the University of Miami.
Peroulakis began his work in the community in 2001 as a Red Cross volunteer. He served as leader of the Disaster Action Team, where he responded to local emergencies and assisted families in need. He became a lead shelter manager during Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and last year during Hurricane Irma. In addition, he volunteered his time during Hurricane Isaac in 2012 as an assistant shelter manager.
In addition, he serves on the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County Board and the local Aging & Disability Resource Center Board.

The Palm Beach County Food Bank
has appointed Rev. Dr. Cecily Titcomb to its board of directors for 2018-19. Titcomb is the Deacon for Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Care at The Episcopal Church at Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach. She was educated at Cazenovia and Williams Colleges, Oxford University, Luther Seminary and Barry University. She and her husband, Rod, reside in West Palm Beach, and are parents of four and grandparents of nine. She has been a member at Bethesda since 1979 and on staff since 2004.
The Community Foundation for
Palm Beach and Martin Counties has appointed Steven Erjavec as chief financial officer. Erjavec directs the organization’s finance, treasury, administration, human resources, IT and building operations. He is also a trustee of the foundation’s sponsored 401(k) retirement plan, and his principal responsibilities include working with financial consultants and the foundation’s investment committee to invest and administer the organization’s endowment.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Erjavec served as vice president for finance and CFO at the Alliance for Aging, Miami-Dade and Monroe County’s area agency on aging. He previously served as the CFO at Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Florida Keys and spent more than twenty years at Community Blood Centers of Florida as its CFO and a key executive leader. Kalinthia Dillard, Esq. , was appointed president of YWCA of Palm Beach
County. Dillard serves as Deputy Inspector General and General Counsel for the Palm Beach County Office of the Inspector General. She is a cum laude graduate of Florida State University College of Law and has practiced law for more than 20 years in both the public and private sectors. In addition to having served on the YWCA Board for several years, she is a member of various professional, community and civic organizations including the Forum Club of Palm Beach County, The Links, Incorporated, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Leadership Palm Beach County’s Class of 2016.
The West Palm Beach Library Foundation announced the appointment of
Natalie M. Alvarez and Dianne G. Bernstein to its board of directors. Alvarez, who has served on the foundation board for six years, also brings more than 30 years of financial management and leadership experience to the Library Foundation. She was recognized as the 2018 Hispanic Women of Distinction Honoree and received the 2017 Distinguished Alumna Award from PBA’s MacArthur School of Leadership. Alvarez recently graduated from Leadership Palm Beach County’s Class of 2018.
Bernstein recently served as co-chair of the foundation’s 2017 signature Food for Thought event and has served on the board for two years. She founded and served as the first director of the Temple University School of Business Graduate Placement Program, and has served on the board of several nonprofits including the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Free Library System, the Philadelphia Library Foundation, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Curtis Institute of Music. Bernstein also currently serves as chair of the Southeast Regional AFMDA advisory committee.

Stephen Good as officer-level position of regional sales director, South Florida. Good is responsible for recruitment and development of producing general agents (PGAs) and career agents in the South Florida region. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and was formerly with MassMutual, where he served as an agency managing director.
Leo A. Daly, an international planning, architecture, engineering and interiors firm, has promoted Michael Schmidt to lead its Food, Distribution and Manufacturing design practice in the southeast region. He will oversee a design team on the forefront of the trends and advancements in the field. Schmidt has more than two decades of experience in all aspects of architectural design. Previously, he was a senior manager of architecture for a large national retailer, where he developed a passion for food, distribution and manufacturing.

has been elected to the Board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Justice Association (FJA). FJA is statewide plaintiff bar association dedicated to strengthening and upholding Florida’s civil justice system and protecting the rights of Florida’s citizens and consumers. The FJA Young Lawyers Section is actively involved in the FJA’s goals of protecting the civil justice system. Section membership also provides many opportunities to network on a statewide level.
Fagnano is a plaintiff trial attorney with a practice focused primarily on representing victims of catastrophic personal injury, nursing home abuse and medical malpractice. In addition to his recent election, he serves as a board member for Palm Beach County Justice Association Young Lawyers Division.
Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center has been named to Tenet Healthcare’s 2018 Circle of Excellence, in recognition of its clinical and operational performance over the past year. The Center was one of six Tenet hospitals to be recognized with a Circle of Excellence Award for 2018.
Phoebe Cuevas-Molina has earned her professional engineer license in Florida. She graduated magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a certificate in environmental engineering, from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez. She also earned a Master of Science degree in civil engineering, with a specialty in sustainability and green design from the University of Pittsburgh. Doane and Doane, PA has announced
