1. Summer Snowballs Holiday Bazaar: Aug. 18 and 19 at the Academy for Positive Learning from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1200 N. Dixie Highway. Admission is $5, and if you bring a new toy for a kid ages 10 to 17, it will be given to the Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Office’s Toy Drive later this year. The nonprofit, Listen Learn Care Foundation, is hosting. Eighty-five percent of the vendors at the event, which includes Macaroni Kids, Hoffman’s Chocolates and Rodan & Fields, are female. Some of the items for sale will include homemade crafts, clothing, jewelry, candles and soaps.

2. Fourth annual Women’s Wellness Conference: Scheduled for Aug. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Compass Community Center, 201 N. Dixie Highway. Lesbian, bisexual and transgende­r women can be at greater risk for certain health disparitie­s but often face significan­t barriers to addressing them. The first step to overcoming these barriers is through education. This conference is designed to address the unique and diverse needs of women in the community. The event is free, but registrati­on is required.

3. “Lake Worth Has Talent”: Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m., at the Lake Worth Playhouse. The annual event is offering a $1,000 first-place prize for 16 and under and for 17 and older; a $500 second-place prize for 16 and under and for 17 and older; and a $250 third-place prize chosen by the audience.
