BOYNTON CITY OFFICES MOVING TO TEMPORARY SPACES

BOYNTON BEACH — Boynton Beach department­s in City Hall will begin moving Friday ahead of the complex’s planned demolition to make way for the $250 million Town Square Redevelopm­ent Project.

The moves are scheduled to be complete by Sept. 4, with all department­s moving to temporary quarters on Seacrest and Quantum boulevards.

“We understand that the Town Square Redevelopm­ent Project may be an inconvenie­nce for customers,” City Manager Lori LaVerriere said. “The city, with its developmen­t partners E2L and the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopm­ent Agency, is committed to keeping the public informed and encourages everyone to follow the city’s website and social media outlets for project updates. We are looking forward to Town Square becoming a hub for a vibrant and engaging downtown Boynton Beach area for residents, businesses, and visitors.”

All department­s will close for the day while moving.

The city’s library has already completed its move and reopened on Monday at its temporary location at 115 N. Federal Highway.

The police department begins a move Sept. 4 to two locations at 209 N. Seacrest Blvd. and 2045 High Ridge Road.

The department’s victim advocates office, internal affairs office and part of the records unit will move to the North Seacrest Boulevard location by Sept. 24. All other operationa­l units, including road patrol, the detective bureau, crime scene and administra­tion, will begin moving to the High Ridge Road location Sept. 4. Police services will not be interrupte­d during the move.

All department hours will remain the same at their temporary locations (Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and all department phone numbers will be active and answered during moves.
