Starting Miami CB still healing

- Staff, Wire reports — ANTHONY CHIANG

Cornerback Trajan Bandy worked on the side during the media viewing portion of practice Monday, a place usually designated for players dealing with injuries. He rode the stationary bike and went through other conditioning drills.

Bandy is expected to start as one of Miami’s outside cornerbacks opposite Michael Jackson. While Bandy worked on the side, senior cornerback Jhavonte Dean practiced with the first string in his place.

Junior defensive end Joe Jackson practiced with the third-string defense. Redshirt junior Scott Patchan worked with the first-string unit in Jackson’s spot.

The running back depth chart remains the same: Travis Homer as the starter, followed by DeeJay Dallas, Trayone Gray and Robert Burns. Freshman Lorenzo Lingard was demoted last week and continues to try to work his way up from the bottom of the depth chart.

The quarterback depth chart remains the same: Malik Rosier as the starter, followed by N’Kosi Perry, Cade Weldon and Jarren Williams.

The starting offensive line continues to be Tyree St. Louis at left tackle, Jahair Jones at left guard, Tyler Gauthier at center, Hayden Mahoney at right guard and Navaughn Donaldson at right tackle.

Redshirt senior defensive end Demetrius Jackson was present at Monday’s practice after missing a few days last week.
