Chamber announces schedule of events

The Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce recently announced its 2018-19 schedule of speakers, which includes talks by chief executive officers, an artist and a panel discussion on innovation­s in health care.

All events will be held at The Breakers unless otherwise noted. Dates and speakers for the upcoming season include:

■ Thursday: John Haymore, president of HRS Group, a local human resources and safety management firm, will talk about safety and security in the workplace.

■ Sept. 18: Stacey Watson, CEO of Achieve Palm Beach County, will discuss education in a talk titled “Why Education Matters.”

■Oct. 17: Carey O’Donnell, president and creative director of the O’Donnell Agency, will moderate a panel discussion on health care and hospitals.

■ Nov. 8: Robin Hayes, CEO and president of JetBlue.

■ Dec. 4: Kenneth Walker, an artist and retail marketing guru, will give a talk titled “Innovate or Die.”

■Jan. 17: Kenneth Kennerly, the executive director of the Honda Classic and the Palm Beaches Marathon, will talk about business and charity partnershi­ps.

■Feb. 14: Rick Ansani, a political adviser, will discuss politics and the aftermath of the midterm elections. The talk will be held at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.

■ March 14: Dr. Peter Cruise, a professor at Florida Atlantic University, will speak about ethics and why they matter.

■April 11: Charles Cohen of Cohen Brothers Realty will give a talk titled “The Arts & Developmen­t.”

■ May 13: Annual awards breakfast.

Chamber of Commerce members attend at no cost. Others may pay $40 in advance or $50 at the door. Reservatio­ns should be made at palmbeachc­hamber.com no later than one week in advance of the event.
