Antiques festival: Head to the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairground­s, 9067 Southern Blvd., this weekend for the monthly West Palm Beach Antiques Festival. Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 at the gate for adults, $7 for seniors and free for children younger than age 16. Amphitheat­er entertainm­ent: Check out the weekly food trucks and free concert at the Wellington Amphitheat­er, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd. The food trucks will be on hand from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, with live jazz at 6:30 p.m. from the Debbie Pierce Band. Java Jam: The Palm Beach County Library’s Acreage branch, 15801 Orange Blvd., Loxahatche­e, will have an Acoustic Java Jam from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Countdown 2 Zero: Looking for a new furry family member? The fifth annual Countdown 2 Zero Pet Adoption Event is coming up from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairground­s, 9067 Southern Blvd. Local shelters will feature about 1,000 adoptable animals including dogs, cats and rabbits.
