Jupiter man arrested for alleged slashing
A 26-year-old Jupiter man was arrested after police say he attacked two employees of a Clematis Street bar with a box cutter early Saturday morning.
A bartender at Te Mana Kava Bar confirmed to The Palm Beach Post that the incident took place at the establishment.
At around 1 a.m., two male employees of the bar, on the 500 block of Clematis Street, were checking the back door when they saw a man, later identified as Thomas James Williamson, leaning against a wall by the women’s bathroom, according to West Palm Beach police.
When the employees approached Williamson, he began “swinging his arms” and fighting the employees, police said. The attack was unprovoked, authorities say.
A third male employee helped take Williamson outside of the bar. One of the employees had cuts on his neck. Another had cuts on his back. Police said they found a box cutter on Williamson, which was consistent with the types of injuries found on the employees. Both victims had non-life threatening injuries, though one was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Williamson was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail. Police say he lives in Jupiter. Jail records show he has a Georgia address. He faces one count of aggravated battery and one count of attempted murder, according to jail records.

Tacaris Mitchell, 31, is wanted on felony charges of trafficking in heroin and sale of heroin. He was born on Oct. 10, 1986, has black hair and brown eyes and is 5-feet10, 170 pounds. His last known address was Northwest 6th Avenue, Boynton Beach.
Lillian Parise, 32, is wanted on violation of probation for leaving scene of crash involving injury and possession of heroin. She was born on Oct. 31, 1985, has brown hair and brown eyes and is 5-feet-7, 130 pounds. Her last known address was North 130th Avenue, Jupiter.
