Marlins, Cards set spring training games

JUPITER — The New York Yankees and Philadelph­ia Phillies will make 2019 spring training appearance­s at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, home of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals.

The Yankees, who train in Tampa, will face the Cardinals on March 21.

The Phillies, who train in Clearwater, will make their first appearance at Roger Dean in nearly a decade when they face the Cardinals on March 18.

The Grapefruit League schedule also includes visits by the Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. Houston and Washington train at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.

The exhibition season kicks off Feb. 23 with the Marlins facing the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. During the next month, the stadium will host 15 home games for the Marlins and 15 home games for the Cardinals.

Three night games are on the schedule: March 15, Cardinals vs. Astros, 6:05 p.m.; March 22, Marlins vs. Nationals, 7:05 p.m.; and March 23, Marlins vs. Astros, at 7:05 p.m.

Season tickets and mini-season plans will go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 9 at the stadium ticket office or by calling (561) 630-1828. Individual game tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 5.

Group ticket reservatio­ns also can be made starting Oct. 9. Choices include the newly renovated luxury suites, the Cassidy Cool Zone, the Corona Beach House (formerly the Bullpen Club), reserved box seats or bleacher seats. Call (561) 630-1828 and ask for a group sales representa­tive.
