Lineup changes at The Gardens
The Gardens Mall is adding new stores to its directory in the coming months, and staples such as Lilly Pulitzer and Tory Burch are undergoing changes of their own.
Here are the plans for this fall and winter at the mall.
Coming attractions: Yvel
— This 2,000-squarefoot luxury jewelry store specializing in pearls will open in the lower level of the Nordstrom Court this winter, where Tory Burch is temporarily operating through a renovation. The name is the mirror image of founders Orna and Isaac Levy’s surname.
Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson, Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian, among other celebrities, have been spotted wearing the brand’s jewels. The pieces are made using organic pearls as the signature jewel, and natural diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and other gems are featured.
Skilled artisans fashion the pieces at the Yvel Design Center in Jerusalem.
Vince — This minimalist women’s and men’s clothier will open in the upper level between the food court and Saks Fifth Avenue, possibly by the end of the year, said Whitney Pettis, director of merchant relations and events for The Gardens Mall. It’s about 2,600 square feet.
CH Carolina Herrera — This 2,000-square-foot store featuring the iconic Venezuelan designer’s modern collection will open next to Vince this winter, possibly before the end of the year, Pettis said.
Arhaus — The 17,000-square-foot furniture showroom is expected to open in October between Bloomingdale’s and Sears. It replaces the former Gap and Aeropostale on the second floor. The brand uses natural materials from recycled goods and renewable sources.
Charleys Philly Steaks — The new food court tenant between Chipotle and Haagen-Dazs is expected to open any day now, Pettis said.
Renovations:
Lilly Pulitzer — The resort-wear brand’s expansion should be complete this winter. For now, it’s operating in a temporary space on the upper level near Nordstrom. TUMI — The seller of highend suitcases and travel bags recently finished remodeling. The 1,600-square-foot store with a fresh design reopened Aug. 30 in the upper level of the Grand Court.
Tory Burch — The remodeled store in the upper level near Saks Fifth Avenue is expected to open this month.
Moving:
Mrs. Fields — The purveyor of cookies is moving to the food court later this year, leaving behind its space near Sears. No plans for the space have been announced.
