MARIACHI MUSIC

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Jupiter Branch of the Palm Beach County Library System will host an hour of festive music from Mariachi Pancho Villa. TASTE OF JUPITER

An event to benefit the Jupiter Police Foundation will take place on Sept. 26 starting at 6 p.m. The Taste of Jupiter will feature food from local restaurant­s like 1000 North and Mar-a-Lago as well as — you guessed it — wine and liquor samples. Tickets are $75 each (with a $6.24 fee if purchased through Eventbrite) for the event at Abacoa Golf Club, 105 Barbados Drive. TEEN EXTREME

If you’re a middle or high school student, this free event is for you. Teen Extreme will be held at Abacoa Community Park, 1051 Frederick Small Road, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be bumper balls, food trucks, BMX and skateboard demos, laser tag and more. The event is hosted by Jupiter’s C.O.A.S.T. Teen Advisory Group.

FARMER JAY WORKSHOP

Need some help with your green thumb? Farmer Jay, also known as Jason McCobb, will teach participan­ts how to grow local or organic foods in their own house or backyard. The workshop, which is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jupiter Community Center (200 Military Trail), is free for residents and $10 for nonresiden­ts.
