JUPITER — In his latest run-in with Jupiter police, a one-time Dwyer High School football standout is accused of shooting at a car Monday afternoon and then fleeing about 3 miles south, hitting at least two cars along the way.

Michael Fleurizard, 26, was arrested on a slew of charges including multiple counts of aggravated assault and driving-related offenses. Judge Dina Keever-Agrama ordered that the West Palm Beach resident be held without the possibility of posting bond because he was released from state prison in June.

Police say Fleurizard fired shots at a vehicle on Summer Avenue, north of the Alternate A1A Bridge, shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday. No one was injured, and a police report on the incident was not available Tuesday.

Someone who called 911 said the gunman fled in a black BMW SUV heading south in the northbound lanes of North Alternate A1A. He then turned west onto Indiantown Road. At one point, he drove over a median to get around stopped westbound traffic to go south on North Military Trail, police records state.

Officers said Fleurizard sped south on Military Trail and crashed into a 2018 Toyota Highlander near the intersection of Toney Penna Drive. He turned around and hit the open passenger door of a Chevrolet Equinox. The driver sustained back injuries in the crash.

Fleurizard drove through a red light to flee the crash scenes, police said.

They found Fleurizard in a car

pulled over in the 1100 block of Military Trail, near the town post office.

Records show that Fleurizard was released from state custody in June after serving a one-year sentence for drug-related offenses. He previously served a five-year sentence after reportedly trying to run over two Jupiter police officers with his car in 2012.

Prior to the 2012 incident, he spent nearly two years in a West Virginia prison after robbing a pizza delivery man in 2010, shortly before he was slated to begin his first year as a defensive lineman for Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

Two other freshmen signees, Glades Central graduate Antwon Chisholm and former Pahokee receiver Fred Pickett, were dismissed from the team following the incident.

The West Virginia robbery cost Fleurizard a college scholarship.
