Benjamin nabbed a very impressive 47-18 win over Key West, a team that had been ranked in the AP polls in previous weeks, last Friday. The victory continues a hyper-successful run for Benjamin, King’s Academy and American Heritage, all undefeated programs making a legitimate case to be considered top three teams in Class 3A.

Elsewhere in the county, Forest Hill continued its undefeated season as well with a win over West Boca Raton.

The Falcons, coming offff a nine- win season and a playoffff appearance, have a shot at a perfect regular season under head coach Jude Blessington. The biggest remaining test for Forest Hill will be a road contest against Dwyer.

Pahokee hung tight with a Vero Beach team that is considered a top five team in Class 8A, while Dwyer rolled against Palm Beach Gardens, a team that opened these ason as an of ff ff ff ff ff fens ive juggernaut but has cooled down in recent weeks.

Top games this week: (All games will be played at 6 p.m. Friday unless otherwise listed)

Boca Raton (3-2) at Palm Beach Central (4-1)

Boca Raton will look to rebound after a district loss to Santaluces last week, but it will be a tall task against Palm Beach Central. The Broncos’ lone loss this season came against undefeated Atlantic, and Palm Beach Central has posted several gaudy point totals in recent weeks. Bobcats quarterback Michael Pratt will have his hands full with a secondary that is headlined by Florida

State commit Akeem Dent.

Seminole Ridge (4-0) at Wellington (4-2)

Seminole Ridge is rolling, having put up 63 points against Boynton Beach last week, just a week removed from beating Palm Beach Central in overtime. The Hawks get a Wellington team that has won its last two games, 49-21. The Wolverines will look to Mark-Antony Richards to create off ff ff ff ff ff en se against a Hawks squad that has allowed 55 points through four weeks this season. This game will have major district implications as well.

Dwyer (4-1) at Olympic Heights (3-1)

Olympic Heights came into the season believing it was a step away from competing for a playoffff spot and being considered among the county’s top teams.

The Lions will have a chance to make a major statement at home against Dwyer Friday.

The Panthers’ only loss was to Atlantic and they’ve beaten up on their opponents since then. In the last three weeks, Dwyer outscored its opponents, 124-34, and what makes that feat more impressive is that the Panthers played Glades Central, Palm Beach Lakes and Palm Beach Gardens in that stretch.
